NUCLEAR MAGAZINE

Editorial | Print Publication

In this graphic design project at Cambrian College, I designed the cover and interior spreads for “Nuclear,” a magazine exploring transformative human inventions and their societal impacts. The project challenged me to balance visually striking design with the subtle conveyance of abstract themes like innovation, ensuring the magazine was engaging both visually and intellectually.

The cover features innovative typography—splitting the letter “a” to symbolize nuclear fission—and a hand graphic to evoke human effort and progress, while the interior layouts use structured grids and carefully chosen imagery to guide readers through a cohesive narrative.

NEW SUDBURY CENTRE WEBSITE

UX/UI Design

In a Creative Thesis Project, I redesigned part of The New Sudbury Centre website to modernize its digital interface and better serve a diverse audience. The challenge was to update a dated, unengaging design that was losing visitors and revenue, making it difficult for users of all ages to navigate.

Through extensive demographic research, iterative sketching, and design evolution, I developed a streamlined Figma prototype featuring a modern, clean aesthetic that improved usability and accessibility, ultimately enhancing user engagement and aligning with the mall’s business objectives.

FROST BLOOD SPECIAL EDITION

Book Cover Design

The project involved redesigning the book cover for “Frost Blood” as part of a graphic design course, simulating a commission from Penguin Books. The aim was to create a visually striking cover that encapsulated the novel’s themes of danger, royalty, elemental powers, and love, while overcoming the challenge of balancing these intricate themes without revealing key plot points.
