BeauTea

Package Design | Illustration | Advertising

BeauTea is an idea for a tea brand I had that promotes slowing down and caring for yourself in our fast-paced world. Beau, the mascot, showcases various ways you can care for yourself. This includes tea bags with packaging, information cards included in the packaging, and billboard advertising.

The illustration itself is inspired by Saul Bass. It uses the juxtaposition of jagged and some rounded elements to represent roughness and care. Using a split complementary, yellow, orange, blue, vintage-inspired colour palette to be eye-catching and unique.

The Candy Store

Visual Identity

The Candy Store is a local business located in Downtown Sudbury and has a clear retro concept in its current branding. However, they are inconsistent with their logo, which weakens their brand identity. There are also some issues with colour applications and accessibility.

I aimed to address these issues while making a strong brand. The logo is inspired by mints, a lesser-used candy, for distinctiveness in the candy industry. Using bright pink, blue, and cream colours keeps the retro vibe, but fixes the accessibility issues and makes it eye-catching. Keeping their small budget in mind, a stamp for usage on paper bags for easy, quick and less expensive packaging.

Style Up

Visual Identity

Style Up is an event concept I created to raise awareness for endangered species. Using luxury magazines as inspiration, I focused on species that are endangered due to poaching, mainly for cosmetic purposes. Bringing attention to what we wear and how we affect the environment.

The cute yet somewhat gruesome illustrations are used to garner your attention and lower your guard until the connection clicks.

Merchandise-wise, I went with a classic hoodie to connect with the fashion theme, but that can also feel disjointed if the purpose of this event is to create awareness of what we wear. That’s why the hoodies would be made from recycled polyester or fabric. It helps the environment by bringing life back to things that otherwise would be left in the landfill, and also brings awareness to those who might not have been aware that it was an option.
