Cretaceous Adventures

Illustrations | Advertising

“Cretaceous Adventures” is a fictional event I mocked up. Dinosaurs is something that can be very important to a kids life, event remaining an interest well into adult hood. “Cretaceous Adventures” Advertising uses Tringles to create the forms.

Each dinosaur depicted was chosen due to their unique silhouette. The aim is to transport people back to the excitement they felt when they first discovered the world of dinosaurs—bringing that sense of wonder and curiosity back into the present day.

Dinosaurs always had a place in society from movies and toys, event showing up in places you wouldn’t expect. Science North was picked to hold this fictional event because of the difficulty it can be for smaller cities and towns in northern Ontario to actually experience these fascinating creatures.

The triangles also embody the idea of piecing together the past, just as paleontologists pains takingly reconstruct the bones of dinosaurs to piece together their history. The sharp, angular lines of the triangles mirror the harsh, rugged nature of these prehistoric reptiles, adding an element of edginess and power to their depiction. This innovative design choice not only adds a modern, artistic flair to the event, but it also reinforces the connection between science, art, and the wonder of discovery.
